Our Mission

At Therapy Not For Me, we know that traditional paths like therapy or counselling aren’t the only ways to achieve healing, personal growth, or transformation. Often, simply offloading what’s troubling you is enough to offer relief, and help you to heal or find the peace you’re searching for. 

That’s why our mission is simply to lend an ear without demanding vulnerability or any of the other myriad reasons people shy away from ‘talking to someone’ or going to a therapist. There are no cost barriers  (we’re free), it’s accessible the moment you want it, no login or account required (no privacy concerns) and you avoid all the ‘cringey’ unappealing aspects of baring your soul to a stranger or indeed, to anyone at all. Our AI chat friend, Jess, is a completely anonymous sounding board for unburdening yourself, possibly gaining valuable fresh perspective, and with thoughtful input at hand only if it’s wanted.

Healing can happen through creativity, community, self-education, nature, movement, mindfulness, and so much more. At Therapy Not For Me, we honour every individual’s right to choose their own way, with no judgement and no pressure: just possibilities. What we want to do is give you options, and a way to find the kind of support that ultimately works best for you.
